Kitchen Renovations
Our kitchen renovations will delight the cooks in your family as well as provide a gorgeous place to visit and enjoy the many years ahead. They call the kitchen the heart of the home and we treasure the opportunity to demonstrate our craftsmanship in a well-planned, functional, and beautifully designed room that meets your needs both for food preparation and life`s enjoyment. Our kitchen designers are industry leaders who have had the opportunity to design kitchens for many years in many of Edmonton’s signature homes.
The Renovation Process
We first invite customers to contact us by phone or email to discuss their project. This gives both the customer and ourselves an opportunity to learn about the project and to discover if we are the right fit and to provide preliminary budget information where possible.
We then open a file and capture the customer`s wish list. In this way, we are able to assign proper budgets and materials to be quoted according to the customer’s vision and needs.
We then schedule a thorough site assessment so that we are able to build a contract-ready quote rather than a ballpark estimate.
Once a quote is completed, it is presented at the showroom and adjustments are made as required. From the showroom we are able to give you a tour of different suites, share examples of previous renovations and show samples of suggested materials. If the customer decides to move forward, a deposit is collected, and final selections are scheduled to complete the style of the room. Customers choose from a great variety of materials all under one roof including counter top materials, tiles, cabinet door styles, and paint colours… all with guidance from our renovation design team.
Customers often comment our process is an excellent investment as it gives them an opportunity to examine the best options for the space. Our quoting fees are modest and refunded back to the project should the customer proceed with the job.
Once the design is complete, all of the products for the job are ordered and we await all materials to arrive before scheduling the job to respect and compress the time we spend renovating in your home.

Once the renovation project begins, our trades shine by taking great care in protecting your home’s surfaces and removing dust with extractors during demolition. We proceed as a skilled and professionally managed team with many years of experience to deliver amazing results. As the renovation comes together, customers are often amazed at as their vision comes to life and comment on how easy the process was.

Renovation FAQ
How long do renovations take?
Bathroom renovations can take on average one to three weeks depending on the size and scope of work. Basement and kitchen renovations can take a little longer. We will usually have a better idea of how long a reno project will take after we have been to the site.
Will you install product bought elsewhere?
Our policy is to install what we sell with a few exceptions. We work this way in order to offer fully-warrantied work. This gives us an opportunity to curate the kinds of products we trust and you will love!
Will you do partial renovations?
Absolutely. Sometimes we are invited to install a simple shower, sometimes we are invited to completely renovate an entire home, add an addition, or build our previous customers a new one. We deal with every project regardless of size as if we were working in our own home.
Do you do custom cabinetry?
Yes! We offer quality custom cabinetry made in our own cabinet shop right here in Edmonton.
What is your warranty?
We provide excellent warranties on our products and labour. Some of our products have manufacturer warranties ten years in length or longer. There is a one-year warranty on our labour. Because we keep our trades in-house, we see very few deficiencies in the course of the year, and if there is ever an issue, with just one call we are here to help.
Are you a local Edmonton renovation company?
We are proudly locally owned and operated by Camillo Esposito who founded Independent Bath & Renovations over 30 years ago. We sell products made both by us here in Edmonton and in Canada as well.
Do you have references and reviews?
Yes! We have reviews posted on our website, on Homestars.com, and other online review sites feature us as well. We are an A+ member of the Better Business Bureau. Many of our previous customers are also happy to provide you with a reference prior to your renovation project start.
Are your renovation trades qualified?
Yes! And beyond their qualifications, we provide industry-leading best practices and in-house developed processes that ensure your satisfaction and the longevity of your renovation.
Do you do charge to quote?
Our quoting fees are modest and refunded back into the project should you proceed with us. This gives us an opportunity to tend to your investment by properly assessing and quoting appropriately, rather than by guessing.
